Fused corundum is added to the refractory of silicon carbide manufacturer

According to the different composition of refractories, silicon carbide manufacturers can be divided into five categories, namely: silicon aluminum refractories, alkaline refractories, carbon containing refractories, zirconium containing refractories and thermal insulation refractories. Any furnace is not built with only one kind of refractory material, which needs to be used with different refractory materials. The following experts from Henan refractory factory will make a detailed introduction to these five categories of refractory materials one by one.

1. It is reported that the silicon aluminum refractory is based on the phase diagram of Al2O3-SiO2 binary system, mainly including the following.

（1） Silica brick refers to the refractory containing more than 293% SiO2, which is the main variety of acid refractory. It is mainly used for building coke ovens, as well as the vault and other load-bearing parts of thermal kilns of various glass, ceramics, carbon calciners and refractory materials. It is also used in the high-temperature load-bearing parts of hot blast furnaces, but it should not be used in thermal equipment below 600 ℃ and with large temperature fluctuation.

（2） Clay brick is mainly composed of mullite (25% ~ 50%), glass phase (25% ~ 60%), cristobalite and quartz (ultra-high up to 30%). Usually, hard clay is used as raw material, mature materials are calcined in advance, and then soft clay is mixed to form clay brick products by semi dry method or plastic method at 1300 ~ 1400 C. A small amount of water glass, cement and other binders can also be added to make unburned products and amorphous materials. It is a refractory commonly used in blast furnace, hot blast stove, heating furnace, power boiler, lime kiln, rotary kiln, glass kiln, ceramic and refractory firing kiln.

（3） High alumina brick. The mineral composition of high alumina brick is corundum, mullite and glass phase. Its content depends on the Al2O3 / SiO2 ratio and the type and quantity of impurities. The grade of refractory can be divided according to the Al2O3 content. The raw materials are high alumina bauxite and sillimanite natural ores, as well as those mixed with fused corundum, sintered alumina and synthetic mullite, as well as clinker calcined with alumina and clay in different proportions. It is mostly produced by sintering. However, the products also include cast bricks, granulated bricks, unburned bricks and amorphous refractories. High alumina bricks are widely used in iron and steel industry, non-ferrous metal industry and other industries.
